Our Services
Compassionate, person-centred support at every stage of your mental health journey
At the Niamh Louise Foundation, we provide a range of compassionate, person-centred services designed to support individuals at every stage of their mental health journey — from early intervention to crisis support and recovery.
Our approach is holistic, recognising that everyone's experience is unique. We take time to listen, understand, and tailor support to each individual.
One-to-One Support
Our one-to-one support service offers a safe, confidential space for individuals, of all ages, genders, religions, and ethnicities, experiencing:
- Emotional distress
- Suicidal thoughts
- Self-harm behaviours
- Anxiety, depression, or low mood
- Life challenges and crisis situations
Sessions are guided by trained intervention workers who focus on building trust, developing coping strategies, and helping individuals move towards stability and recovery at their own pace.
Support is delivered through a mix of one-to-one sessions and group-based activities, tailored to age and individual needs.

Sudden Bereavement Support
We provide specialist support for individuals, families, and communities affected by sudden death, particularly suicide. This includes:
- One-to-one bereavement support
- Ongoing emotional support through the grieving process
Our team understands the complex and deeply personal nature of sudden bereavement, particularly suicide, and offers a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where people can talk openly and begin to heal.
Group Support and Recovery Programmes
We facilitate our Coffee Morning group-based support that encourages shared experiences and peer connection. Group settings provide a sense of community, reduce isolation, and allow individuals to learn from others in a supportive and understanding space.

Training and Community Education
We deliver training and awareness programmes to empower individuals, organisations, and communities to better understand mental health and suicide prevention. Our training includes:
- Suicide and self-harm awareness training
- Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
- Empowering Young Minds programme
These programmes aim to build safer, more informed communities where people feel confident to respond and support those in need.
A Personalised Approach
No two journeys are the same. That's why we don't take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every individual who comes to the Niamh Louise Foundation receives a tailored support plan, designed around their needs, preferences, and pace — ensuring they feel heard, respected, and supported every step of the way.
